I have been trained as General Surgeon and had a lifelong interest in breast cancer diagnosis and management with a particular interest in reconstructive breast surgery. I was the Clinical Lead of the department of Breast Surgery at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals from 2007 till 2013 and led the department in establishing the Central Lancashire Breast Unit. I was appointed as the Chair of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Breast Cancer Network from 2013 till 2019 during which time I oversaw the introduction of several innovative national developments. My work was recognized nationally when in 2014 I was awarded a National Clinical Excellence Award. Academic Background: Mr Zuhair Saidan, M.B, B.Ch, FRCS(Ed) Trained in General Surgery in Leeds and subsequently in Breast Surgery in London and Edinburgh. I obtained my Surgical Fellowship in 1984. I was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals in 1997. I have travelled widely presenting and contributing to International and National meetings. I was recently invited to 2 International meetings in Alexandria and Dubai to present my surgical techniques.
